Ride-share and food delivery drivers in Toronto went on strike to demand fair pay and better treatment after a report revealed that some drivers make less than minimum wage.
A joint report by Ridefair Toronto and the Rideshare Drivers Association of Ontario found that some drivers on ride-hailing apps in Toronto make $6.37 to $10.60 per hour after expenses, which does not meet the province's minimum wage standards. [ more ]
