David Andrews endorses Blake Miller as the ideal first-round pick for the Patriots to improve their offensive line.
The NFL's Most Valuable Player award will very likely come down to Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and Patriots quarterback Drake Maye. Even if you agree that they were the two most valuable players in the league this season -- spoiler alert, I do not! -- there are several interesting questions beyond those two. While the NFL's MVP almost has to be a quarterback,
Matthew Stafford has been named NFL Most Valuable Player and confirmed he will return for another season with the Los Angeles Rams. The 37-year-old edged New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye in one of the closest MVP races in league history before using his acceptance speech to announce he is not retiring. Stafford received 24 of 50 first-place votes in balloting by a nationwide panel of media members and finished with 366 points.
He probably feels a lot like Peyton Manning did 10 years ago when his arm was hanging by a thread and the Denver Broncos beat Carolina 24-10 in Super Bowl 50 at Levi's. Or Tom Brady in Super Bowl 53 when the New England Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams 13-3. How about Terry Bradshaw (9 of 14, 86 yards) for Pittsburgh in a 16-6 win over Minnesota in Super Bowl 9?
After being selected by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, he would catch just two balls during his rookie year. He was quiet for the bulk of his sophomore campaign as well until he averaged 80 yards across his last three games, including a 117-yard performance in Week 18. Across his first 12 games that season, he'd average just 23.3 yards per game.
He's been balling, Hawkins said of Woodson, who led the NFL with 30 postseason tackles. I'm so proud of him, especially to see his growth throughout the season and knowing him since he was a freshman in college. Coming into this league, starting off the jump as a rookie. I'm proud of him. I respect the hell out of him. He's my brother.
