Patriots defense suddenly under pressure after Zak Khur's bold Jarrett Stidham take
"No one is giving the Denver Broncos much of a chance in the AFC Championship Game, and understandably so. After all, they will be without their starting quarterback, Bo Nix, against a New England Patriots squad that has only lost three games all year. However, Broncos head coach Sean Payton believes he has a backup signal-caller that would sit atop other teams' depth charts in Jarrett Stidham."
"[Stidham's] very capable of being a starting quarterback," Kuhr said. "He could be a start for a number of teams - very talented, athletic, smart. ... He can run better than what most people think. Strong arm, very accurate when you watch his film."
Bo Nix will not play in the AFC Championship Game, so Jarrett Stidham will start for the Denver Broncos. The New England Patriots lost only three games during the season and currently hold roughly a 70% implied win probability in betting markets. Patriots inside linebackers coach Zak Kuhr called Stidham capable of being a starting quarterback, noting his talent, athleticism, intelligence, running ability, strong arm and accuracy on film. Kuhr instructed the Patriots' defense not to ease up, pointing to the group's nine sacks and six turnovers across two playoff games and urging sustained intensity.
