But with young players, I'm always thinking about -- last week, making the change to Dillon, you have to think long and hard about that, because these are young players that you are so invested in their development. EAGAN, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings agreed to terms with free agent quarterback Desmond Ridder on Tuesday, giving them a third healthy QB with starter J.J. McCarthy sidelined due to a high right ankle sprain. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday that McCarthy is expected to miss between two and four weeks because of the injury, which occurred during Sunday's 22-6 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Throughout the offseason, there have been questions about the Patriots' quarterback room behind Drake Maye for various reasons. Some analysts and fans were intrigued by the addition of veteran Joshua Dobbs, while others weren't sure about the value he brought to the roster or Maye's development.
