Fronted by Josh Turner (Guitar/Lead Vocals), with Autumn Evans on Bass and Aubrey Blount on Drums, FRIEND has been making music since 2021. New Noise Magazine Top 10 albums of 2024 featured FREIND's release of DOG EAT DOG quoting "DOG EAT DOG is what happens when '00s garage punk meets, uh, actual production and a dog's ear for melodies. The Dickies were pop punk before pop punk was a thing, starting way back in '77 with catchy melodies, a nerdy sense of humor, and even some harmonizing. While other bands (who were sticking tighter to the punk orthodoxy) accused them of just being in it for a quick buck, the Dickies were winning over audiences with their musical chops, their quirky, playful lyrics, and wild stage presence (including a WHO-loving puppet penis named Stewart).

The band attempted to shift their style in 2016 with the single 'I Don't Wanna Go to Bed,' which was not well-received and led them to reassess their direction.
