Decision-making is often stressful due to unconscious biases and insufficient information, but clarity and self-awareness can ease the process.
Since I was a teenager, I knew I wasn't meant to live in the US. It never aligned with my values. In my 20s, I worked at a Dutch university and always wanted to return.
I'm fine now, but it was a major health scare. After that, I had some sense that I needed to have some time for myself, almost like a gap year where I could just think about what was a priority for me. Where did my values actually align?
