Zach Ramsey scored unassisted with 1:12 remaining in the first half and Washington took a 1-0 lead into the break. It was only the second time this season that N.C. State trailed at halftime. Ramsey scored into an empty net after Wolfpack goalkeeper Logan Erb couldn't corral the ball at the top of the box. It was Ramsey's second goal of the tournament.
The New York Rangers Will Cuylle had last looked up at the shot totals in the third period. At the time, he recalled, he saw only eight or nine on the Seattle Kraken's side. Seattle would finish Saturday night's contest with 13, less than half of what the New York Rangers generated in a 3-2 overtime win to cap off their annual Pacific Northwest road trip.
On a 2-on-1 in overtime, Fraser Minten kept it for himself and sizzled a wrist shot past goalie Arvid Soderblom to lift the B's to a 4-3 victory. Nikita Zadorov made a good defensive play in the Boston zone to send Minten off with Morgan Geekie on the wining play. Joonas Korpisalo (21 saves) also made two terrific saves in OT, one on a Connor Bedard clean break-in.
