Steve Erceg plans to have less respect for opponents after realizing they are just normal people like him.
Having sealed their place in the Champions League on the final day of last season, Manchester City will aim to reach the knockout stage after a season away following their play-off defeat to Real Madrid following the 2024/25 league phase. City finished third in the Premier League during a season of struggle by their stratospheric standards and have landed another date with Madrid in the league phase this time in Europe, as well as a meeting with menacing striker Erling Haaland's former club, Borussia Dortmund.
It's official. Bayern Munich now knows who all of their group stage opponents are going to be in this season's installment of the UEFA Champions League in what will be the second season of the new-look group stage format. The German Rekordmeister will take on Chelsea (home), Paris Saint-Germain (away), Club Brugge (home), Arsenal (away), Sporting Lisbon (home), PSV Eindhoven (away), Union Saint-Gilloise (home), and Pafos (away). There's a solid mix of familiar opponents that Bayern have faced in the past in the competition while there's also some less familiar foes.
