The Swift Android workgroup has announced nightly preview releases of the Swift SDK for Android, a tool kit for developing Android mobile applications with Apple's Swift language. Instructions for getting started with the SDK, which was announced October 24, can be found at swift.org. The Swift SDK for Android opens avenues for cross-development and acceleration of innovation across the mobile ecosystem, Android workgroup member Joannis Orlandos wrote in announcing the release.
Anthropic has expanded the availability of Claude Code, its AI-powered development environment, bringing it to the web and mobile platforms. Previously limited to desktop access through Claude.ai and API integrations, the new rollout allows developers to run and manage coding tasks directly in a browser or on mobile devices. Claude Code is designed to help developers write, edit, and execute code across multiple files while maintaining conversational context. The web version introduces parallel job execution, allowing users to run several processes simultaneously.
Google has patched a fifth zero-day vulnerability in Chrome for 2022. Tracked as CVE-2022-2856, it involves insufficient validation of untrusted input in Intents, allowing for arbitrary code execution.
