LG is adding a karaoke-focused party speaker to its lineup of Xboom devices, which is built in collaboration with Will.i.am. Announced this week, LG says the Stage 501 speaker comes with an "AI Karaoke Master" that can remove or adjust vocals from "virtually any song," similar to the Soundcore Rave 3S. It can also adjust the pitch of the songs to make them more comfortable to sing, and it doesn't require karaoke-specific audio files to do so, according to LG.
Each of these venues offers a markedly unique experience: You can front a live band, reserve a private stage for you and your friends, knock back tiki drinks while waiting your turn, or-because this is Portland-serenade the clothes off a pole dancer. Whether you're a classically trained performer or more of a shower singer, here are our favorite karaoke spots in town.
The clothes are less outlandish this time around, but still aspirational lending the show a strand of Sex and the City DNA (they also share a creator, Darren Star). But, unlike SATC whose spinoff And Just Like That devolved into a mindless mess Emily in Paris is free of any baggage, and at liberty to be as silly as it fancies.
She'd recently turned 11, and in my heart, I knew she no longer believed in Santa. "Mom! Don't forget, I want Monopoly," she casually called back. I scrunched my eyelids together, holding back hot tears. Santa, the only arbiter of Christmas gifts in our household, was also the magic link to my Italian Catholic childhood for me and for my Jewish children, whom I'm raising in my husband's faith.
Do you want somewhere you can sing your favorite songs? We're talking alternative, metal, rock, pop, disco, and everything in between! If it's on YouTube, we got it!! Freakyoke karaoke is where it's at for folks that may not feel like they can sing freely and freakly at other karaoke! QUEER TRANS CENTERED KARAOKE!!
The first song I fell in love with I would sing Hit The Road Jack by Ray Charles in my room when I was about 10. I had it on cassette, and wanted to learn every lyric so I could sing it to the end and get all the bits right. The first album I bought The soundtrack to Footloose on cassette from HMV on Cuba Street in Wellington.
