Jonathan Quick's shutout was spoiled by a late goal, but he achieved his 410th career victory in a Rangers win over the Red Wings.
I kind of bit on the shot [by Frost] and he threw it backdoor. I just put my glove out there, tried to cover space. And I got fortunate... I caught a piece. That's a remarkable accomplishment in this game, and it just speaks volumes for how good of a goaltender he is.
Lafreniere registered his second career hat trick, continuing to produce in a post-Artemi Panarin world. Lafreniere may not be a generational talent, but he is playing like a first overall pick. We will need to see this continue for more than a few games, but the difference this time is he's far more engaged.
Finding an elite goaltender who can play at the highest of levels does not come easily, and good goaltending is vital for a contending team.
