The Canada international was a prolific scorer at former club Lille but hasn't made the smoothest start to life at Juve, scoring only seven goals in 34 games so far. West Ham could have been a good option for David, and at one point he thought he was on his way to the Hammers, according to Claret and Hugh. Still, it seems there was some uncertainty about whether or not David suited the team's style of play, and it led to the deal collapsing.
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are poised to make a move for Canada international striker Jonathan David if Juventus make him available for a transfer, Tuttomercato reports. Despite joining the Serie A giants on a free transfer from Lille in the summer, David's slow start of one goal from 10 games has seen him drop down the striking pecking order below Dusan Vlahovic.
Zhegrova joined the Serie A giants from Lille in a deal worth €14.3m plus up to €3m in add-ons, following David to Italy after he completed his free transfer in July. The 26-year-old winger scored eight goals and provided two assists in all competitions for the French club last season, adding some firepower to Igor Tudor's ranks. Zhegrova missed 28 games for Lille with an adductor injury, but has been brought in to replace Nico Gonzalez, who has joined Atletico Madrid on loan.
