JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski has pulled his name from consideration for the Cleveland Browns' head coaching position but is still pursuing the Buffalo Bills' job, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday. Udinski, who interviewed with the Bills on Sunday, has also agreed to a new contract with the Jaguars that includes a raise for the 2026 season if he is not hired as the Bills' head coach, the source told Schefter.
Jaguars score goes final. Due to the Jags win, the #Patriots now need to beat the Dolphins to secure the No. 2 seed.- Evan Lazar (@ezlazar) January 4, 2026 They have a 13-4 record, so if the Patriots lose, the Jaguars hold the tiebreaker and would push New England down. So, to lock up the No. 2 seed and not fall to No. 2, they need a win on Sunday.
The Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday reached agreement with offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen on a three-year, $51 million contract extension, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The new deal includes $32.5 million guaranteed and could be worth up to $55.5 million with incentives.
Things are getting real in the 2025 NFL season. Playoff races are heating up with two weeks left, teams are starting to think about the future, and fantasy league championships are upon us. So with all that in mind, insiders Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano have been calling sources around the NFL for the latest news and buzz on key situations heading into Week 17.
When New York Jets defensive coordinator Steve Wilks was hired last offseason, he told reporters the defense would be a "collaboration of both of our schemes" -- referring to himself and coach Aaron Glenn. Let's fast-forward to Sunday at EverBank Stadium, where the Jets played their worst defensive games in years. They watched helplessly as Trevor Lawrence delivered one of the best quarterback performances in history -- five passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown in the Jacksonville Jaguars' 48-20 victory.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have lost starting left tackle Walker Little and starting receiver/punt returner Parker Washington to injuries against the Tennessee Titans. Little was evaluated for a concussion late in the first half while Washington suffered a hip injury on an incomplete pass from Trevor Lawrence. Cole Van Lanen moved from right guard and replaced Little at left tackle while rookie Wyatt Milum replaced Van Lanen at right guard.
"The whole team had faith we were going to win that game the entire time," Mills said. "I think our team is very confident in our own abilities. We have a lot of players who can make plays. And we just needed to get things clicking."
Little had missed three kicks in the Jaguars last two games -- two 50-plus yard field goal attempts and a PAT -- yet head coach Liam Coen said the team had no plans to bring in another kicker and professed confidence in the second-year player out of Arkansas. Little made a 70-yard field goal against Pittsburgh in the preseason and his previous long during the regular season was a 59-yarder against Detroit last season.
Jayden Daniels became the No. 2 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft after a sensational campaign at LSU, during which his stock soared en route to winning the Heisman Trophy. The Washington Commanders recognized his special gifts, and he completely shifted the franchise's direction during a rookie campaign for the ages. Daniels also made strong connections with his former Tigers teammates. Malik Nabers developed a close friendship with the signal-caller, although they are now friendly rivals after he was drafted by the New York Giants. Another was Brian Thomas Jr., who is finding life difficult with the Jacksonville Jaguars this time around despite going over 1,200 receiving yards in Year 1 of his professional career.
Matthew Stafford threw three of his five touchdown passes to Davante Adams and the Los Angeles Rams beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 35-7 on a rainy Sunday at Wembley Stadium. Stafford, who has thrown 12 touchdowns with no interceptions in his past four games, also connected with rookie receiver Konata Mumpfield and rookie tight end Terrance Ferguson in the London rout. The Rams (5-2) are off to their best start since their Super Bowl-winning season in 2021.
"Obviously in Cleveland, you're sitting there mad: 'We've got to find a way, we've got to find a way,' And then when I get here I'm like, 'Wow, we just won.' Obviously I didn't play, but we just won. So, yeah, it feels amazing. I'm just going to try to do my best to help them keep this upward trend up."
Whatever happened on Sunday doesn't change how I feel. In my heart, I genuinely was trying to give a compliment and I own the fact that I probably used the wrong choice of words, but however you want to word it. I mean, they're really, really good at putting their players in position to be in a successful position. As coaches, we're always chasing leverage.
The Jacksonville Jaguars released Darnell Savage on Tuesday, one year after signing the veteran safety to a three-year contract in free agency. Savage started 13 games in 2024, but his playing time decreased this season because the Jaguars signed Eric Murray in free agency and veteran Andrew Wingard won the other starting safety spot. Savage was rotating with third-year player Antonio Johnson and rookie Rayuan Lane III as a backup.
