Baldoni and Lively are set to go to trial on May 18, with Baldoni's team requesting an extension due to extensive disclosures from Lively's team.
Ryan Reynolds is standing by his woman, leaked text messages be damned. In a statement to Puck News, Reynolds' reps said he did not regret getting involved in the It Ends With Usbehind-the-scenes drama and ensuing legal battles. "Yes, Ryan got involved - what husband wouldn't support his wife and the mother of his children?" they said. "He saw his wife fighting daily to stand up against sexual harassment in a private and respectful way, only to face retaliation for doing so."
Originally scheduled to start March 9, 2026, the It Ends With Us trial now starts on May 18, per . Judge Lewis J. Liman of the Southern District of New York explained that two criminal trials that "take precedent" over a civil trial. The next hearing is on January 22, and Judge Liman reportedly told the parties at a post-discovery hearing on December 9 to talk about settlements, if needed.
The lawsuits spawned a nightmare (and very telling) deposition; a Megyn Kelly news cycle after Justin Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, went on her show to claim Blake Lively lied about everything; a possible falling out between Lively, Taylor Swift, and Ryan Reynolds (and maybe even Travis Kelce); and an abhorrent Hollywood Reporter cover story painting Justin Baldoni as a feminist who might not know any better because of his religious-cult upbringing. And this is just the short list.
