California had a 6% decrease in homebuilding permits in 2022, with 111,221 permits filed, while the US saw an 11% decline in permits filed.
Single-family home permits in California decreased by 8% in 2022, while multifamily permits decreased by 3%, with the Inland Empire showing an 89% increase in multifamily permits. [ more ]
The electric rail to Las Vegas keeps rolling with new federal funding approved
The high-speed rail project between the Inland Empire and Las Vegas has received additional federal funding, including $2.5 billion in tax-exempt bonds.
The proposed electric passenger train is expected to take more than two hours for the 218-mile trip from Rancho Cucamonga to Las Vegas, with stops in Hesperia and Apple Valley. [ more ]

A high-speed rail project between the Inland Empire and Las Vegas has received a $3 billion federal grant.
