Fortunately, they had Christian Gonzalez ready to go. But that wasn't exactly how things went, because the coaching staff continued to put Marcus Jones in a mismatch by having him guard London far too often in the red zone, leading to scores.

What began as an exciting home opener for the Minnesota Timberwolves took an early hit when star guard Anthony Edwards was forced off with a hamstring issue. The Timberwolves went on to edge out the injury-hit Indiana Pacers 114-110 on Sunday night, but at the expense of losing their star man. Edwards, a three-time All-Star entering his sixth NBA season, exited in the opening minutes with tightness in his right hamstring and was ruled out for the rest of the game.

Tucker isn't going into free agency with the ideal amount of momentum. His 2024 season was truncated by a shin fracture. His 2025 campaign was dragged down by a finger fracture and a calf strain. He missed some time and didn't perform up to expectations in the last few months before hitting the open market. Regardless, he's head and shoulders above everyone else listed here.
