Deere & Co. ( NYSE: DE) ranks sixth for its positioning in India's agricultural mechanization drive, where significant productivity gaps represent a substantial equipment opportunity. Deere reported Q4 2025 revenue of $12.39 billion, up 14% year-over-year. Its Construction & Forestry segment surged 27% to $3.38 billion, demonstrating strength in infrastructure-related markets. CEO John May stated, "We believe 2026 will mark the bottom of the large ag cycle," positioning the company for recovery as emerging markets drive demand.
Most emerging market ETFs are built around the same assumption: that China's economy and equity markets will drive returns for decades. Columbia EM Core ex-China ETF (NYSEARCA:XCEM) rejects that premise entirely. This fund excludes Chinese equities altogether, offering investors exposure to emerging markets without the geopolitical risk, currency volatility, and regulatory uncertainty that have defined Chinese markets in recent years.
The yield on the 10-year Treasury rose 1.8 basis points to 4.224% as Japanese yields climbed by 4 basis points to 2.274%. The U.S. dollar was down 0.24% against the yen after initially gaining. Gold rose 1.46% to $5,052 per ounce, and silver climbed 3% to $70.16, also rebounding a bit from massive dives earlier. U.S. oil futures fell 0.88% to at $62.99 a barrel, and Brent crude lost 0.91% to $67.43.
The benchmark KOSPI index plummeted as much as 12.2 percent on Wednesday, eclipsing the 12.02 percent single-day plunge triggered by the September 11, 2001 attacks on the US and the 9.44 percent drop seen at the height of the 2008 financial crisis.
