Christmas is just around the corner, which means that many clubs in the Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 have stocked their official stores with Yuletide knitwear. The Christmas sweater used to be a bit of an afterthought for the big clubs, with many content to merely offer fans a cheap acrylic pullover or two. However, times have changed and the game has most definitely been upped in recent years.

Sarah Jessica Parker is a pro at holiday dressing - even when it's not Christmas. The actor often ignores fashion rules by not tucking away her sparkly dresses after New Year's. And remember when she wore a full-on nativity scene on her head to the 2018 Met Gala? So of course, when it's time to curate an actual holiday wardrobe, she always brings it.

To wrench myself out of the house this time of year, I need it to feel like an occasion-which, of course, calls for An Outfit. My trick for feeling fancy without the fuss? A party dress. Layered over sheer tights and my favorite Sézane boots, a good dress takes the guesswork out of picking out an ensemble and is easy to elevate with my favorite accessories.

It's party season, a time of year that either fills you with sartorial dread or has you screaming with excitement as you get to wear yet another embellished dress to the pub on Friday night (tis the season after all). I spend most of the year wearing navy trousers and oversized shirts, but there's something about a party dress that speaks to my inner J-Lo.

Last week, while taking the subway to work, I found myself startled by an advertisement for Coca-Cola. It wasn't an unfamiliar image. It just seemed, well, way too soon. Because what to my wondering eyes did appear but good ol' Saint Nick downing a bottle of soda. Yep. It's that time of year again. Even though it's not even Thanksgiving yet, we are officially in full-blown Holiday Mode. Colored lights are shining. Bells are jingling. Shit's getting merry.

Subtlety is so last season - showing off is officially back. For far too long, fashion has been dominated by minimalism and quiet luxury. But the pendulum has swung, and joyful, unabashed style has returned just in time for the holidays. The stretch between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve is a marathon in all senses of the word - a blur of cocktail parties, gift exchanges, and festive activities -
