Haringey is at the heart of north London: it has leafy, affluent areas beside busy urban neighbourhoods; hundreds of restaurants serving cuisine from all over the world; and great parks and open spaces.

Voting has now concluded in Kerala, Assam and Puducherry with results expected on May 4. Assam recorded a voter turnout of nearly 76% and Kerala of 62.7%.

The debate will be moderated by public defender Dalourny Nemorin, who recently suspended her own campaign for the seat.

The last three months have been tumultuous in the district. The community was divided by a surprise move in January to add ethnic studies to the high school curriculum, a class that Chinese and Jewish families felt was discriminatory. When new board member Rowena Chiu said publicly she felt bullied by other "woke" school board members for questioning the class, all hell broke loose.

Fourteen Angelenos have qualified to run for mayor, including incumbent Karen Bass, City Councilmember Nithya Raman and former reality TV star Spencer Pratt. Seven City Council incumbents face at least one challenger, while Councilmember Monica Rodriguez is running unopposed to represent her northeast San Fernando Valley district.

ABC7 is partnering with the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future to host a gubernatorial debate featuring six candidates vying to become California's next governor. "Your Voice, Your Vote: Race for Governor 2026" will take place Tuesday, March 24, at 5 p.m. and will be moderated by ABC7 anchor Marc Brown.
