Nearly 5,000 Bronx charter schools are underfunded due to a 10-year funding disparity that requires them to pay rent instead of investing in programs.
The legislation (S8522) introduced by State Senator Luis Sepulveda and Assembly Member John Zaccaro Jr. aims to provide rental assistance to all NYC charter schools to address the issue of underfunding. [ more ]
