Polka dots have been experiencing a rebrand. The speckled pattern was formerly synonymous with retro fashion favored by vintage enthusiasts. Or Minnie Mouse. This year, however, the industry apparently collectively decided it was time to give the dotted look its stamp of approval. Runways saw spots in all sizes and color combinations, while in real life, celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Dua Lipa, and Bella Hadid made "polka dot summer" trend. The pattern clearly has staying power.

Most people who run errands reserve their wardrobe's most raggedy contents for the task. Think: loose ratty T-shirts with holes, faded sweatpants, and other pieces they likely wouldn't want their ex or frenemy to catch them in. They definitely wouldn't be clutching rare designer bags, either. Elsa Hosk, however, isn't most people. Even when the supermodel is off completing the most mundane tasks, she still manages to look chic.

Despite the basic canvas, her accessories put her 'quiet luxury' sensibilities on full blast. She wore $225 sand-colored sneakers from Alo, an understated choice especially when paired with ribbed white socks from the same brand.
