With under six months left on his current deal at Old Trafford, Manchester United confirmed on Thursday that Brazilian ace Casemiro will be leaving the club at the end of the 2025/26 campaign. Although the former Real Madrid superstar might have been a key figure in the heart of United's midfield this season, Casemiro will be ending his four-year spell in the red half of Manchester.
The former United player has enjoyed a career-best spell in Serie A since making his £25 million move last year, most notably winning the MVP award last season as his side lifted the Scudetto. The 28-year-old also scored a stunning overhead kick against Denmark earlier this week to help Scotland qualify for their first World Cup finals since 1998. Chelsea are reportedly interested in the Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson. The 23-year-old has been exceptional for Nottingham Forest since joining the club, and he is one of the most promising young players in the league right now. Chelsea are not the only club keen on him, and they will face competition from Manchester City. According to Fichajes, Chelsea have expressed interest in signing the England International midfielder, whereas Manchester City are already plotting a 75 million move for him. Manchester United are interested in Anderson as well.
Nottingham Forest's Elliot Anderson was given his first senior England start in the Three Lions' 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Andorra at Villa Park on September 6. Anderson joined Arsenal's Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice in midfield for Thomas Tuchel's fifth match in charge, having been ever-present in Forest's first three games of the Premier League season. The selection continued an impressive year for the 22-year-old, who was named in the 2025 Under-21 Euro team of the tournament.
