Getting divorced or separating in Sweden is much simpler than in most readers' home countries, and men and women are treated much more equally, according to the readers who answered our survey. But not everyone welcomed these differences. Of the 17 readers who answered our survey, eleven said they were impressed or even surprised by how simple and fast the divorce process was in Sweden. One, an Indian chef in Gothenburg, said it took just two weeks to complete.
