In reality, the abrupt Marriott-Sonder breakup has been far more dramatic and unfortunate for the many customers caught in the middle of it. As a quick refresher: It's been a week since Marriott suddenly ended its licensing agreement with Sonder, a short-term rental firm and onetime Airbnb rival.
