Using a Kindle instead of a phone can reduce distractions and improve focus throughout the day.
The company announced on Wednesday an "immersion reading" feature in the Audible app, which allows readers who have both the ebook and audiobook versions of a title in their Audible and Kindle libraries to read the ebook's text while the audio plays. The feature also lets users switch between the different formats across devices. While in the "Read & Listen" mode, the text of the book is highlighted in real-time in sync with the narration.
I tested the 2024 base model Kindle and fell in love with its thin and portable build. I found myself downloading more e-books from my public library and reading a wider variety of novels because of how easy it was to rent them through Libby and read them while I sat on the subway or passed the time in the waiting room of doctor's appointments.

Lucky for all of us e-reader lovers, Kindle's ebook store has books in all kinds of languages that you can purchase or download through Kindle's subscription services like Kindle Unlimited and Kids+. You can always send an ebook from your library that's in your learning language of choice to your e-reader, too.
"We regularly make improvements to our apps to help ensure we are providing customers the most convenient experience possible," Amazon spokesperson Tim Gillman told The Verge over email. "By selecting 'Get Book' within the Kindle for iOS app, customers can now complete their purchase through their mobile web browser."
