2 hikers stranded on Point Reyes cliff saved in dramatic helicopter rescue

MARIN COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- A dramatic cliffside rescue unfolded in the dark on the rugged coastline of Northern California as police and emergency crews coordinated the rescue of two stranded hikers stuck on a steep rock formation on Sunday evening. At approximately 7 p.m., CHP H-30 was requested by the Marin County Fire Department, along with the National Park Service and the Marin County Sheriff's Office, to respond to a cliff rescue just south of Pelican Lake, on the Point Reyes National Seashore coast.
