The trailer's biggest reveal is the introduction of two beloved Mario characters: Rosalina and Bowser Jr. Both feature extensively, and we see that Bowser Jr. is trying to break his dad out of captivity in the Mushroom Kingdom. We don't know Rosalina's role yet, though she gets a moment at the end to annihilate the Megaleg boss. Check it all out below.
Bowser Jr., the prince of the koopas who debuted in Super Mario Sunshine , is an objectively cute little guy. He takes his father's fearsome, dragon-like qualities and smooshes them into a sweet baby boy, shrinking his dad's viciousness into his own brand of feistiness. I love this little bastard, and I was so stoked to see him show up in the this morning...until I got a good look at him. Why do my precious child's eyes look like he's tweaking out?
While we still await the first trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, an unlikely source has provided a great look at Yoshi in the sequel. A Pillsbury box showcases the green dinosaur alongside Mario as part of a promotional collaboration for the film. Tops Friendly Markets, a supermarket chain in the northeastern US, listed the Pillsbury sugar cookies shaped like Yoshi eggs over the weekend.
