In a town where brats are a local delicacy and there's an entire cheese fridge in the airport gift shop, it's fitting that the Wisconsin offseason has been dedicated to rechanneling its caloric roots.

"The expectation for our program is to compete for championships, and unfortunately, we have not done that in the last four years," Minnesota athletic director Mark Coyle said.

Oregon baseball's freshman catcher Burke-Lee Mabeus was honored as the Big Ten conference's freshman of the week on Feb. 24, marking the team's inaugural weekly award in the new league.
