We knew Atalanta would play man-to-man and aggressive, but we also knew if we managed to maintain our structure, we'd get good chances. We'd get the space and just had to use it. When I'm in a certain position, the coach wants me to beat my opponent one-v-one, to shoot and play freely. When you're at a club like Bayern, you want to win it all.
I think we gave a really good performance. A very attractive and willing-to-go-forward type of performance. I think we saw a team with more quality, cleaner in the way we built our attacks, and also in the final third. I still think we have to improve some of the movements and decisions we make, but I think we saw a more vertical team, that went forward every time they could.
"It's not perfect, we want to be a free-flowing team," Frank told reporters on Friday. "We are working very hard on the offensive part of the game. I understand the frustration and I share it too. There are a few things we need to improve on and one of those is losing the ball through unforced errors, which happened 25 times [against Brentford]. I showed those 25 clips to the players today."
