Athletic Bilbao centre-back Yeray Alvarez has been suspended for 10 months due to a failed doping test after a Europa League match, European soccer's governing body Uefa announced on Monday. The 30-year-old Spaniard tested positive for canrenone, a substance prohibited in and out of competition, after Bilbao's 3-0 home defeat by Manchester United in the semi-finals of Uefa's second-tier club competition in May.
A short corner routine saw Getafe take the lead in the 15th minute, with Liso collecting Luis Milla's pass before seeing his effort deflect off Akor Adams and past Orjan Nyland. But Sevilla restored parity on the stroke of half-time when Juanlu Sanchez's teasing delivery from the right-hand side was headed into his own net by Iglesias. However, Getafe restored their advantage six minutes after the restart through Liso, who combined once again with Milla and picked out the bottom-left corner.
Rio Ngumoha, at just 16 years old, showcased exceptional talent by scoring an impressive early goal against Athletic Bilbao at Anfield, drawing attention for his performance.
Bayern Munich may have received a massive boost in the race to sign Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams.
