Apple is preparing a significant update to its Apple Arcade lineup for the holiday period, introducing several new titles and expanding existing ones across its devices. The company says the upcoming additions include sequels, mobile-focused adaptations and platform-exclusive releases aimed at strengthening the service's appeal. With some games arriving in November and more slated for early December, the update reflects Apple's continued push to position Arcade as a unified, subscription-based gaming hub across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro.

In 2019, Apple Arcade launched with roughly 70 premium mobile games that had no ads, no in-app purchases, and no sex or violence. Some of the games in the initial launch period, like What the Golf?, were praised for their innovation and depth beyond what's typically expected of mobile games. In the six years since, Apple Arcade has grown its game offerings, and while it maintains its credo of family-friendly content, its library no longer garners the same critical praise.

Angry Birds Bounce, the latest installment in the franchise, allows players to fling birds at pigs while bouncing them off walls, adding strategic elements to gameplay.
