Data in apps used for aircraft safety remotely tampered with
Criminals could remotely manipulate the data in apps used by airplane pilots, potentially impacting the safety of takeoffs and landings.
The vulnerability was found in the Flysmart+ Manager app used by Airbus pilots, which had disabled app transport security (ATS), making it susceptible to interception and decryption of sensitive information. [ more ]
