Fresh from his victory as the last traitor standing in The Celebrity Traitors, and elevation to national treasure status, the Chatty Man is co-presenting Secret Genius with Countdown's dictionary-botherer, the lexicographer and author Susie Dent. On second thoughts, given the lead times for these things, this is probably better billed as What Alan Carr was contracted to do next but no matter. We are here to have fun and fun we shall!

I want to say now that me and Alan are 100 percent not doing . We are so flattered to be in that mix. We both are not doing it.

Alan Carr has announced a huge 93-date tour of the UK with a brand new show, Have I Said Too Much? The announcement on Wednesday (3 December) follows Carr's victory on the first series of The Celebrity Traitors, in which he claimed £87,500 ($115,000) for Neuroblastoma UK as a Traitor. Posting on Instagram on Wednesday (3 December), Carr shared the tour's poster as well as information about the stops and tour dates.

"Apparently my name is in the hat but I haven't spoken to anyone at the BBC," he added. "You saw how sweaty I was in the [Traitors] castle, imagine me live on a Saturday night coming down those stairs. People would slip in a pool of my sweat while doing the fandango. It's lovely to be thought of but it's probably a bit too nerve-racking."

The first season of The Celebrity Traitors was buoyed by the casting of gay comedian Alan Carr, who cemented his reputation as a national treasure in episode one after being selected as a Traitor. He was joined as a Traitor by queer musician Cat Burns and TV host Jonathan Ross. While initially being deemed as the least likely Traitor to succeed due to his propensity for sweating and inability to stifle laughter, Carr proved his detractors wrong by winning the show in the shocking finale.
