Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced they are stepping down as Strictly Come Dancing hosts. The Sun listed several potential replacements, including Amanda Holden and Alan Carr. Holden denied the rumours while hosting the Heart Radio Breakfast Show, saying that she and Carr are not taking the role and asking for their names to be removed from consideration. Holden cited Britain’s Got Talent commitments and Carr’s rising profile from The Celebrity Traitors as reasons. The pair have previously co-fronted house-makeover series in Italy and Spain and will appear in a Greece series. Both wished luck to whoever secures the job.
