Alan Carr says winning The Celebrity Traitors would be a 'miracle'
"Among the other celeb contestants aiming to win £100,000 ($135,000) for charity are radio and TV host Jonathan Ross and singers Charlotte Church and Paloma Faith. The celebrities must complete a series of challenges as a team but among them are the traitors, hell-bent on secretly sabotaging the missions with the aim of "killing" off their fellow contestants one by one."
""I'd like to win because I'd like to wipe the smirk off some of my friends' faces," he said. "They said: 'Alan, you are going to go home first'. I think my agent's actually booked things for the second week and he's said to keep the engine running. "It would be incredible to come out of that castle as a winner, not only to prove to my friends but to prove I can do it to myself.""
Alan Carr expresses low expectations about his chances on The Celebrity Traitors and says it would take a miracle for him to win. The celebrity edition features LGBTQ+ stars and other famous contestants including Tom Daley, Clare Balding, Cat Burns, Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross, Charlotte Church and Paloma Faith. Contestants must complete team challenges while secret traitors attempt to sabotage missions and "kill" fellow contestants one by one. Carr says he would like to win to wipe the smirk off friends' faces and notes his agent has booked later work. The series begins at 9pm on BBC1 and iPlayer on 8 October.
