AI systems rapidly improved in forecasting tournaments and may soon outperform humans at predicting complex real-world events.
From a meteorological perspective, the winter storm sweeping across the country this weekend is a supply chain disruption in its own right: A high-pressure system from the north is smashing into a low-pressure system from the south, belting large swaths of the US with heavy snow, sleet, and freezing rain. While the snarl in the upper atmosphere could trickle down to the real supply chain on the ground, some retailers are taking steps to anticipate the impact of the storm and position their products accordingly.
Hospitals in England are using articificial intelligence to help cut waiting times in emergency departments this winter. The prediction algorithm is trained on historical data including weather trends, school holidays, and rates of flu and Covidto determine how many people are likely to visit A&E. The government said the technology allowed healthcare staff to do the things that they're trained to do, rather than having to be bound down by bureaucratic processes.
Artificial intelligence is making waves with crypto predictions as the year wraps up. We ran a real-time accuracy test to see which AI gets the correct prediction of top crypto prices by December 31. We asked ChatGPT, Claude, and DeepSeek to forecast year-end prices for Bitcoin ( ), Ethereum ( ), Solana ( ), and XRP ( ). Currently, BTC is trading at approximately $88,000, ETH around $2,965, XRP at roughly $1.88, and Solana hovers around $122.
Just as there have been remarkable advances in weather forecasting with the use of large language models, so will there be for determining an individual's risk of the major age-related diseases (cancer, cardiovascular, and neurodegenerative). These diseases share common threads, such as a long incubation phase before any symptoms are manifest, usually two decades or more. They also have the same biologic underpinnings of immunosenescence and inflammaging, terms that characterize an immune system that has lost some of its functionality
ChatGPT predicts Bitcoin closes the year around $86,000-down 3.9% from current levels-while top analysts target $111,000, creating a $25,000 gap that can't both be right. Bitcoin ( ) hit $126,000 in October 2025, then crashed back to the upper $80Ks by December. Now the question dividing markets: will Bitcoin ETF inflows of $223 million daily and surging institutional demand push prices to $111K, or will technical indicators and ChatGPT's bearish signals prove correct at $86K?
