After beginning his professional career with only 48 points through his first 124 AHL games. Many people were quick to write off Matthew Maggio in his value as a New York Islanders prospect. But this season Maggio has completely turned it around, and the stats are there to prove it. Maggio has turned heads with his play this season. Maggio has started the AHL season with 4 goals and 16 points in his first 21 games.

Lambert had a strong AHL rookie campaign, but it seems like frustration set in last year when that initial success didn't lead to a spot on the Jets. His numbers declined and now in his third year in North America and not being an NHL regular, Lambert is pleading for a change of scenery and depending on the price tag, the Leafs should consider being that landing spot.

With the recent successes of the San Jose Sharks' first-round acquisitions, it can be easy to forget 2022 first-round pick Filip Bystedt. The 27th overall pick has been slower to develop than his fellow first-rounders in the Sharks' organization, especially considering the recent emergence of 2024 first-round pick Macklin Celebrini, 2023 first-round pick Will Smith and potential arrival of 2025 first-round pick Michael Misa.
