OYO Architects has reimagined Wintercircus, an impressive 125-year-old building in Ghent, Belgium, into a lively hub for technology and culture. Originally a circus and later a garage, this 4,830m2 project embraces the building’s historical significance while modernizing its interior to support the goals of TENT, a consortium focused on technology and entrepreneurship. The renovation preserves the robust structure established in 1885 and aims to catalyze community interaction, innovation, and economic development, fostering collaboration among various stakeholders including entrepreneurs, researchers, and the public.
