Tour a Transformed LA Oasis Inspired by History and Travel
Briefly

Lisa Koch, an established interior designer, was hired by hotelier Jeff Klein to enhance a 1937 property styled after 19th-century French architecture. Their design collaboration focused on respecting the original historical elements while updating the space for contemporary living. Key renovations included intricate architectural features, landscaping changes, and carefully sourced materials like unstained French oak floors. Their goal was to create an elegant oasis that feels timeless and rooted in history, rather than a modern interpretation detached from its past.
In our project, we aimed to respect the integrity of the property, avoiding a modern style that didn't align with its historical roots as a 1930s house.
Lisa's design philosophy perfectly aligned with our vision, which emphasized an organic and natural evolution of each room's character, maintaining the house's spirit.
