Chevy Chase Village, a charming Maryland community, served as the ideal environment for Jennifer Skalka Tullumello and her family. The couple sought a historic yet unique home, leading them to purchase a Queen Anne-style residence built in 1905. With a focus on creating a nurturing space for their children, Tullumello collaborated with designer Nina Farmer, known for her expertise in renovating historic homes. Farmer, along with architecture firm Wouter Boer and construction company Zantzinger, helped infuse modern sensibilities while preserving the home’s original charm.
We wanted a house that had a lot of love in it, somewhere our children could build happy childhood memories.
Nina has this incredibly strong sense of how to bring a historic home into the modern era, especially for young families.
