This Cobble Hill Townhouse Finds New Life Awash in Sunlight
Briefly

Sunrooms, solariums, and conservatories have historical roots as ancient structures for connecting with nature. Bo Lee Architects collaborated with Rockhill Construction and homeowners to transform a brownstone into a functional family home centered on simplicity and adaptability. During the design process, milestones such as the couple's growing family influenced flexible layouts. The addition of dedicated workspaces and a central solarium that integrated the terrace into the home exemplified the project's focus on balance and openness.
"The couple's focus on creating a home for their growing family aligned perfectly with our belief that design should enhance daily life while remaining approachable and unpretentious," shares principal architect Bo Lee.
"The solarium is this project's lynchpin, however. It absorbed the existing terrace off the rear and covered it to make it part of the interior, increasing the footprint and rendering this space useful."
