AMASA Estudio completed a rehabilitation project of a public plaza at CTM Culhuacán, one of Mexico City's largest housing developments. This intervention confronts long-standing issues related to spatial clarity and maintenance faced by mid-20th-century housing. The plaza, neglected over time, now focuses on community-responsive design and material efficiency. A new gabled roof structure establishes spatial order and improves visibility. The project replaces aging recreational facilities, fostering community engagement and better social interactions among residents. Ultimately, it revitalizes urban common spaces that had suffered from administrative neglect.
