Holly and François-Xavier purchased a semi-detached Victorian house in southwest London that needed renovation. Their goal was to build an extension to enhance living space and create a spacious kitchen and dining area while maximizing their garden. They enlisted architect Aurore Baulier for the design process, which emphasized collaboration to ensure the house functioned well. Inspired by traditional French greenhouses, the resulting 40m² extension provided a fluid connection between living areas, ultimately elevating the home's functionality and aesthetic.
"We wanted to build an extension at the back and renovate internally, to add more space, open up the floor plan and create a generous family kitchen and dining area," said Holly.
"I've known Aurore since 2012, we used to work together," says Holly. "I trust her and she's a total perfectionist, so I knew she was the right person for the job."
