Renovation of Shenzhen Longgang District Longling School / Yijing Architectural Design
Briefly

The Longling School in Shenzhen has significantly expanded its campus from 18,173.71 sqm to 68,237.47 sqm to accommodate a growing student population amid resource shortages. Key structures were preserved during the renovation to ensure operational continuity. Modern design emphasizes flexibility and exploration, moving away from traditional teaching methods towards personalized learning through innovative spaces like the 'Knowledge Hill' and 'Path to Wisdom.' This transformation not only optimizes physical space but also aligns with contemporary educational goals, aiming to create an 'Urban Campus Within a Village.'
The Longling School renovation exemplifies the modern shift in educational architecture, moving from linear, centralized spaces to versatile environments that foster self-directed learning.
In response to a significant shortage of educational resources, the expansion of Longling School strategically preserved key historical structures while accommodating a significantly increased student population.
