New entrance for east London Tube station to be open from 2028
Briefly

A new entrance to Stratford station is being constructed as part of a 41-storey tower project on Great Eastern Road. With planning approval granted last August, construction has now commenced. The development will include around 1,000 student flats, offices, and an additional entrance to the Stratford Tube station. Work on the new entrance concourse is expected to start in early 2027 and take approximately five months to complete. The landmark building aims to enhance local connectivity, following the opening of a 9.5 million pound entrance at Stratford last year.
