Lumintu House / Realrich Architecture Workshop
Briefly

The creation of an experimental house for client Rubianto by Realrich Architecture Workshop highlights innovation in tropical design. The structure uses openable steel fins and active fan systems to maintain a comfortable temperature and reduce humidity indoors. An extended 3.5m canopy provides shade and protection for plants, aligning with the 'Lumintu' philosophy. The layout features a living area, multiple bedrooms, and specialized spaces for fitness and work. Skilled craftsmen contribute intricately bent steel components, emphasizing a blend of artistry and functionality in the contemporary architecture.
The temperature is maintained at 27 degrees Celsius through openable steel fins and an active fan and wind tunnel that lowers humidity within the home.
The extended canopy of 3.5 meters provides shaded spaces, protecting both the home’s occupants and surrounding plants from excessive sunlight.
The design reflects the philosophy of 'Lumintu,' creating a seamless transition and incorporating curved forms on the facade for aesthetic and functional purposes.
Skilled craftsmen play an essential role in construction, meticulously shaping each steel component and contributing to the metaphorical themes throughout the design.
