Krizik Pavilions Reconstruction / Vystaviste Praha
Briefly

The Křižík Pavilions, originally designed for the 1991 General Czechoslovak Exhibition, have been revitalized to serve modern needs. After thirty years of use, the pavilions required updates to meet exhibition standards and accommodate a range of events, including concerts and television filming. The renovation features a stark black matte interior to highlight exhibits while retaining industrial design elements. Notably, the previously unused concrete roof area has been transformed into active green roofs, making the space accessible to the public and enhancing its functionality and aesthetic appeal.
The revitalization of the Křižík Pavilions aimed to modernize these historic structures while enhancing functionality for diverse events, from exhibitions to concerts.
Key transformations include a new black matte interior to emphasize exhibits and the introduction of accessible green roofs, turning neglected spaces into public areas.
