Everything we know a year into The Liberty Romford's 7m transformation
Briefly

Redical announced a £7 million enhancement fund for The Liberty Romford, part of a long-term revitalization plan. By June 2024, four planning applications were submitted for new signage, doors, and digital screens. Following approvals in August and October, entrance upgrades began, with the South Street entrance completed in January 2025. Upcoming improvements include seating, lighting, car park upgrades, and new lifts. The goal is to attract leading brands and implement incremental changes to enhance the shopping centre's appeal and maintain its top retail position in London.
"Our asset management strategy is centred around transformation through accumulation. This essentially means implementing a series of incremental changes, that together make a significant difference."
"The works we are carrying out at The Liberty Romford are all aimed at unlocking the destination's full potential and maintaining its position as the number one satellite shopping centre in London, ranking top in retail spend opportunity."
