Reichenau Castle faced abandonment and decay after attacks, wars, and historical events, with 1932 marking an apparent final end. A restoration initiative led by tp3 architekten and project managers Mag. Arch. Andreas Henter and Mag. Arch. Nikolaus Schullerer-Seimayr reversed the decline. The work involved fair-faced concrete, sandblasted and natural stone masonry, carpentry, timber framing, sheet metal, and roof glazing by KAPL Bau. Structural engineering was provided by Schindelar ZT and electrical installations by Kurt Nickel and Ing. Dietmar Leitner. Builders included the former Tourism Association Reichenau/Mkr. and Verein Erlebnis.REICH.ENAU, with joinery and furniture by local workshops.
