Casa Capitao is a cultural space in the Beato neighborhood of Lisbon dedicated to music, gastronomy, art, and critical thinking. The project adapts an existing late 19th-century building with typical historic architectural features. A new exposed concrete crown is added to the structure, creating a prominent architectural element. The crown visually distinguishes the building and reframes the program as an architectural statement. The space is supported by a range of collaborators and consultants, including structural engineering, MEP engineering, audiovisual and artistic consulting, construction, and supervision. The result is a renewed cultural venue that connects contemporary design expression with the character of the original building.
